yeah seriously. Pretty much every single person in Mexico is a small business owner. Know why? Because the government isn't up your ass forcing you to license this, payroll tax this, regulation this, law this, THEN once you do all that for your business, NOW we tax the ever loving fuck out of you, on top of tarriffs and other bullshit the gov fucks with.
the only thing the mexican government fucks with everyone with is a giant 100%+ import tariff on everything.
but whatever, I get to be a real estate developer in mexico for super cheap. something I can't even get close to in the US with my wife and I clearing almost $400k because we pay $4k a month in income taxes, on top of all the other taxes we pay.
it's just insane.
the mexicans I know basically own cheese shops, ice cream shops and whatever in very small towns in mexico, yet they travel ALL the time. They go to Japan, Ireland, Egypt, you name it. I was shocked at how well traveled they are, and how much more disposable income they have.
Sure, my house is nicer, in a way better area. but I don't own it, and we have mid 5 figures saved in the bank. It's just very strange to make so much money, but at the end, it doesn't mean anything when you don't get to keep it.
