Tired of seeing this myth show up constantly. No, most french men did not die in ww1 or 2. In 2, not many French people died period. In ww1, "only" about 20% of French soldiers died. Thats not taking into account the ones that already had children when they died. There were plenty of "real men" walking about at the end of ww1. You weren't more likely to be sent over the top and gunned down if you were genetically gifted either. They picked whoever and shot the ones afraid to do so.
