He was in contact with the Orthodox church. None of the things he had problems with in the Catholic church exists or existed in the Orthodox church. Protestantism is literally just a protest against the Catholic church. Look where the Protestant churches are nowadays.

He did say a lot of based things, and in the end he figured out what the kikes really are about. So he gets points for that.
