pretty similar outcomes in the USA as well. if not codified in law then at least executed as if it were in family court.

What's important to note here is that the law does *not* mention men or women, just "intimate partner". That means that if you, the man, stay home and raise the kids to love Uncle Adolf, there's fuck all she can do.
What a lot of men, especially MGTOWs, don't understand is that these "non-gendered" laws can swing both ways *if* you're willing to take the traditionally female role. My ex left, thinking she was going to get child support, baby bonus, alimony, the whole nine yards. But I wouldn't let her take the kids. Then I quit my job and got organized as a full time stay at home dad. By the time we got to court, I was the "caregiver" so *I* got the child support. Once the order was in place, I went back to work (part time) so she was paying me child support even as I was making more than her.
I hate this woke legislation as much as the next guy, but I'm not above using the enemies' weapons against them.

I used to think what the laws said mattered too. But they don't. The judge will always rule for the woman regardless of how the law is written. I'd love to be wrong here but I'd bet money that the rulings won't be applied equally.
He kept his kids and can continue to raise them right. He also dodged a bullet by not being enslaved by the family court, which is the default outcome. If you do not understand the value of these things, then by all means continue whining on the internet about how it is impossible to get them: sour grapes are the only kind you can expect to receive.
This is an extreme exception to the rule though, and you are very lucky fren. You have to know this. Also, it depends on the judge you get, and what side of the bed he/she wakes up on.
