Dating used to be something that was necessary but only temporary, with the intent of finding a long-term partner/mate. Dating was the means to the end: Dating was the means, Marriage was the end.
More recently, dating has become the end. The means are endless peacocking, and marriage is no longer even in the equation.
I'll refer from here on out to dating as we knew it historically (even 20+ years ago) and p-dating (perennial dating, dating as a hobby).
When dating, you of course wanted to put your best foot forward to attract a mate. That's reasonable and expected. And when you would settle into marriage you might let down your guard. Moms and wives don't go everywhere in high heels, for example.
P-dating is different because they are constantly in peacocking mode. They are constantly preoccupied with very surface level aesthetics and vapid displays of trendiness, which become the means.
And it almost seems as that dynamic is polar shifting, where the end is superficial appeal, and the relationship is merely a smokescreen for ones vanity. "I have to do X because I'm dating." But really, X is the goal, and dating is the excuse to do X. So now, we have an inverted pyramid, where instead of impress -> dating -> marriage (long term relationship built on trust), we now have dating -> impress -> fleeting micro-relationships (fans, followers, randos, likes, shares) built on vanity worship.
The temptation doesn't justify the sin.
Ultimately, we are all responsible for our own actions. And while we can certainly be lured, it is up to us to take the bait.

Let’s be honest though, even if many men could attract a mOOdern woman, it’s impossibly hard to please most of them, and keep their attention for any significant amount of time due to insanely short attention spans, and them being overly experienced, and not being able to pairbond. It’s legitimately a part time job now to keep them “entertained”, and sticking around. They even get bored with Chad after a while, because they’re all GIGgers. Social media has them all believing there is always something better out there, and the grass is always greener. It’s really sad.
Same thing is happening in SEA now, with globalism bringing this degenerate nigger culture here. The women are in the “I won’t settle” mode until their 50s. It’s nuts.

never spend a single dollar on your first dates. that date is to see if you two are directionally compatible in character and attitude. 2nd date is to talk about what you both want out of life. just be direct and honest. if she wants you to buy her meals and buy her gifts ghost out. she wants to be a whore not find a husband.
