I've always been fascinated by that tired idea of "travel broadens the mind." When the great explorers of history saw niggers wallowing in the mud, indians shitting in their sacred river, and aztecs mass slaughtering virgins, I'm sure it awoke something in their mind.

For me travel reaffirms my belief that racism is inherently good and necessary for the overall health of a society.

Travel tells you that you are who you are. People go native but the in-between expressions of juggling cultures are fake to the core.

I think the root of it is a sense of abandonment. When someone’s culture is being ruined at home, they jump to other homogenous cultures. Thats why Japan is all the rage right now.

Makes sense. Japan is the epitome. Jumping to vulgar cultures, however, is not understandable.

Traveling does broaden the mind, but not when you travel to tourist resorts, instagram spots or curated events.

Travel such as that begets stupidity and ignorance.
