I've already long accepted that there will be 0 mercy for exterminating all of them. I'd have more mercy with a larger insect than them. I took 3 hours to rescue a small bird that got stuck in my window in a bad place. Recently I spent half an hour to save a pheasant stuck between two fences when I was hiking, while having to go through thorny brushes. If I wouldn't have saved them, they'd be 100% dead.

However I genocided a wasp colony of 500-1000 because initially one had the great idea to sting me. It was amazing, took quite some time and effort, but I did it. ALL of them drowned and got buried. With jews, niggers and subhumans I'd feel even better than that.
