fun fact Ferdinand fucked over Christopher Columbus 3 times when it came time to pay up for his venture

after the third time he just raced for the French King (who was an avid Explorer) and then the king reconsidered being a niggard, so he sent a messanger to Columbus just before he managed to cross the border

Columbus even named his son after the niggardly King, you can imagine was pretty pissed off being delayed and denied his funding for a venture that would ultimately enrich the Spaniards greatly

i often wonder what happened if Columbus went to the French and the French discovered America?
