If you just want to get married, have kids, live a modest regular life, go to church, etc... there's tons of woman out there for you.
Guys only run into problems when they "want more" which Christianity has pointed out as "falling into temptation" etc... Guys who want more than the mundane are not putting themselves out there to compete with all the other guys and girls who want more than the mundane and such competition is cutthroat. Most guys are going to fail when they compete as such, hence why many guys complain there are "no good girls" because in reality they don't want a good girl, they want better than a good girl and they themselves aren't good enough to obtain this.
One issue that I have with a lot of people is their criticism of guys who want more though. "Just readjust your expectations (lower your standards) and accept the ordinary, then you'll find a good girl too." The problem is that not every man is average or wants to be average and he's programmed to want more. He can't actually accept less and still be happy so it's not a choice he can actually make. These men are going to be forever unhappy and that's fine. They clearly weren't meant to be anything but that or God would have destined them a different path. Not all products (people) on the assembly line (who go through life) make it through with 0 defects. Some are tossed to the side and there simply was nothing in the products power to have changed this because it was as designed.
Many men & women out there believe they are due an extraordinary wife or husband when they themselves are anything but extraordinary. Becoming someone worthy of greatness tends to make the rest fall into place, but that takes will & effort and most who wish for the easy path have neither.

Agreed, and happiness shouldn't be a goal anyway because happiness is a fleeting feeling. The goal should be contentment, and contentment isn't found in another person (though that is usually where people seek it) it is found in a life well lived, building oneself in breadth of ability & experience (and the knowledge & wisdom gained from both) yet never being completely content because the journey itself is the triumph.
The goal should simply be living the life you want to live. If you aren't living how you want to live but are instead depressed and complaining then you have a problem. Take action to live how you want to live. That should be the goal. Never stop acting how you want to act. Nothing comes easy in life, especially to those who want exceptional men or women. You need to constantly be acting.
