It all went to shit when it became a race for "market segment capture."

People used to make podcasts based on their personal or professional interests, now it's done to "capture" an audience that you can then pimp to sponsors for cash. Look at Daily Wire. They will literally shill a parade of sponsors for 10 minutes in the middle of a podcast. Everything from VPNs, food delivery, phone apps, gold coins, vacation packages, home appliance service plans ... *literally anything that pays!*

my ex used to listen to a lot of them, financial advice for women. and still she planned on me taking care of her as her financial future plans.

yeah, thats why she is my ex. I dont mind taking care of a woman, hell most men thoroughly enjoy taking care of others and feeling needed. But my ex, along with many other women, have such a disdain for the men in their lives despite everything they do for them. I am one of the lucky ones where she revealed her hand [or i saw through her] before she locked me in via a child/combined living
