I have no idea why people were ever excited about AI, its created by the same people who enforce the system as it is now. Why anyone ever thought AI would provide any information outside of the current (((status of things))) is stupid. AI only reinforces the system that created it.
I wouldnt be surprised at all if you look at the breakdown of AI computing power and find out the majority of it is used to "correct" its implied or explicit racism, sexism, antisemetism, etc... again, reinforcing the post WW2 moral framework, IE: leftism.
Well if you and i could reprogram it to be truthful, or to critically think or fairly compare evidence and information it freely and equally searches for with equal effort and open mindedness, then it would be a useful tool.

AI in the hands of you or me could be utilized for some common good because you and I both value the truth.
