I realize exceptions don't make rules but there's a little more to it.
The two are correlated but not entirely causual.
Why do straight men in prison sometimes turn to fucking other men? It's all they have access to.
The rise of trans/gays IMO, was an adaptation young people decided to raise their sexual market value. Boys who can't get interest in them from girls turn to gay/trans because they get sexual interest from people once they turn to this. A person who significantly desires affection but receives none is more likely to become "addicted to porn" because young people who get what they want from the opposite sex have less need for porn. I wouldn't have spent hours jerking off as a teen if Britney would give me a blowjob instead. And make no mistake, Britney was giving other guys blowjobs as a teen. Public schools are highly sexualized, these days especially. If a boy isn't getting sexual attention from women he's going to desire it and one way to get sexual attention is going gay/trans.
I don't think banning porn will solve the gay/trans issue but I do think if girls gave more attention to more boys than just the top 0-5% of boys, that we'd see a lot less trans/gays.
I work with a gay who is openly gay and he's divorced to a woman. He straight up admits he went gay because men are easier. He goes for young men (18yo) and he's 40yo who are twinks. These are gay guys that kinda act/look like women. He's basically like a guy in prison who turns to fucking men because he has no access to women.
I don't think it's any coincidence that we see gay/trans levels increase at roughly the same time we've seen nearly a 100% increase in the number of virgin men at 18yos.
And thinking it, this is probably why Ancient Philosophers had their gay stereotype because they fucked young boys (their apprentices). Why? Well, I bet you philosophers weren't the cool men all the women wanted to fuck so these guys fucked young boys since the boys emulated women somewhat. They weren't entirely gay per se, but they adapted because they had no access to women compared to Warrior Greek Chad.
