In any case, it had to happen. China was building two ports in Venezuela, and we can't tolerate China parking their fleet at our doorstep or harassing/ policing shipping lanes in our hemisphere. I don't think that the inconsistent views of browns on sexuality are to do with Islam, since the Quran has little to say on sexuality altogether, except that God opposes homosexuality.
