I inherited a half dozen footlockers of unopened topps bricks from the 80s and 90s that my dad and uncle thought would set me up for life. Literally boomer nft's.

Usually things become valuable when they begin to be sought after after they're out of production. When everyone buys them thinking they're gonna appreciate everyone ends up with a surplus.

Fun fact, Arthur Shorin (juden) was the Topps ceo directly responsible for the massive overprinting of ball cards while claiming that they were only printing a few and was directly responsible for the collapse of the ball card market in what was known as the "junk wax card scandal".
