For those who don't know, a juggernaut is the ENglish form of jaganath, an indian god of which an effigy is pulled in a giant chariot during a religious celebration, and it is considered holy to hae been run over by the chariot.

And when the British were doing this it was because of the industrial revolution and mass population boom in urban areas from rural transplants. And within years germ theory was discovered and hygiene instantly improved.
