Age verification for online media has nothing to do with combatting porn and everything to do with online surveillance and control of the social narrative.
They're going to use porn as an excuse to track everyone's online activity so it'll be easier to debank you once you say something out of line. It'll only affect social media. And meanwhile porn will still be easily accessible online likely without any new obstacles.
