Did early Christians despise circumcision? I don't know how long rabbis have been sucking newborns' mutilated penises, but if they've done that since the start, it seems like a reasonable inspiration for these images.

Most Christians don’t understand that the “Old Testament” wasn’t a thing until a bunch of rabbis kvetched that Christianity was about THEIR God and demanded some nonsense stories be stapled to the front of the Testaments compiled by Marcion of Sinope in 144 AD.

Judaism and Christianity are antithetical belief systems.
