Can someone give me a good source for an accurate account of the events leading up to Germany's invasion of Poland? I'm trying to get something together for a friend who is stuck in what he learned in highschool and the officially accepted narrative.

In 1939, Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Agreement to divide the Europe. But according to Historian Viktor Suvorov in the book **[Icebreaker](https://www.amazon.com/Icebreaker-Who-Started-Second-World/dp/0241126223)**: Stalin secretly planned to conquer the entire Europe. The plan was called "Groza" (Thunderstorm). Stalin prepared the Red Army to strike the Germans in July 1941. In May 1941, Stalin begun to assemble Red Army troops near German / Soviet border. Hitler found out about this. He ordered German forces to attack Red Army on June 22nd 1941. In a matter of days, German Army obliterated Red Army. By August '41, German Army encircled Kyiv, Ukraine, destroyed 43 Red Army Divisions and captured near half-a-million Red Army troops, 4,000 guns, mortars and 200 tanks. Red Army incurred 700,000 casualties. Then German forces occupied large portions of Ukraine, Belarus and Baltic States.
