It's time to talk about it in a comprehensive way. In my other posts I provided background information, but I reiterate it as it refers to this directly:

It was an expensive gas, so it shows what effort the Germans took to keep them alive and not let them live in misery if it could be avoided. Again, the US didn't have this problem.
- Given these issues, the Germans couldn't prevent some tens to hundred thousands of jews to die in the camps. The Red Cross was well aware of the entire process and the death count.
The jewish plan was still to push negative propaganda about Germany, so that was an ideal opportunity for them to have that narrative be propped up. They could sprinkle in a bit of reality and make up everything around it. But why did the Germans put jews into concentration camps?

- The Germans believed that they could reform or rehabilitate the incarcerated jews. To make them feasible citizens again. In hindsight, it was a naive attempt, but at least it attempted to break the cycle of just expelling them and eventually issuing a round of executions to the perpetrators, as happened 1030 times before. The Germans sought a peaceful solution to the jewish problem. And it was a "final solution" as it sought to break the cycle spanning millennia. There was a chance it could have worked under better conditions.
- There was no way they could have just released the jews out into the open. Remember, they were hellbent on harming or destroying Germany, and after being put into concentration camps (rightfully), the chance of that was even higher than it already was.

In fact, there weren't many jews in Europe anyway, so if we go by the most "generous" calculation of 15 million jews in the world, with 6 million dead in just 5 years, it means their count would have to decrease by at least 40%. Or if we assume 1.1 million were killed, 7%.
This is the most generous interpretation, which means we don't have to assume is correct. Other statistics say there were much less jews in Europe, so the percentage would have to be higher. But it is close to 0%. If we go the other way, there were 3 million jews in Europe, and 6 million died. So 200% of all existing jews died in Europe.

No. An operation on such a scale would require a lot of people to actively know about it. There are no documents to prove any extermination plan. No orders, no letters, no bureaucratic documents, no communiqués, no audio, no film material, nothing.
In fact there was an instance in which a leader of a concentration camp was executed for the crime of murdering two jewish inmates and stealing from them. Why would Germans do that if they were lavishly killing millions of jews anyways?
