Part of the Jews.
All global politics can been viewed as a conflict between GloboHomo, one-world government Jews and nationalist oligarch Jews who want to each have their own separate fiefdoms.
In the case of the Ukraine, the GloboHomo Jews are destroying it in order to pin down the oli-Jews in Russia and China from entering conflicts in Iran and Real China.

Ukraine means something like "borderland" and, when it was a part of the USSR, it was referred to as such. Now that it's its' own country, people jist call it Ukraine.
But, seeing as how it's really not a country at all but a manufactured, perpetual warzone supported by international money, I fell "the Ukraine" is most appropriate.
