I just got to the part in the Old Testament that speaks about sacrificing animals to God in the Tabernacle, including birds. Jews have made a huge stretch to argue that individually murdering birds passes their sins onto the bird, completely ignoring the purpose of why God asked for sacrifices, as a precursor to Jesus's (God's) infinite sacrifice, which is why all of their temples were destroyed, the last one after Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection, preventing them from proper sacrificial rites. The sacrifices are also only to be performed by the sons of Aaron, the priestly caste. Furthermore, they use this practice to continue to sin, thinking they can keep murdering birds to cover up their unrepentant sins. They don't have a repentant heart, and thus glorify, justify, and revel in their sins, showing their abject hatred and disdain for God. They are a truly loathe some people who twist all of God's commands in their futile attempt to legalese their way into Heaven, justifying their evil with every step they take.
