They're muddying the waters whether intentionally or not,

as Jesus' "Jewishness" is not the same as modern non-Christian Judaism which rejects Jesus as the Messiah

They are basically trying to get gentile Christians to identify with non-Christian Jewish movements like Zionism and a "Judaism" that rejects Christ

It's one of their favorite tricks. They don't want people to notice how Christ's ministry split Judea into those who followed the true Messiah and become the early Christians and those who followed the false messiah Simon Bar Khoba and were handed over to Titus and Hadrian for punishment.

They conflate the inbred descendants of the survivors of the second group with the entire Old Testament and try to hide the facts that the Church is the true continuation of Israel and that Christ's risen body is the third and final temple.
