Have you read the Bible? IE, John 17:3: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, **and** Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." If you can read plain English:

* There is "the only true God"
* There is also Jesus Christ
* Jesus Christ was sent by that God
* Knowing Jesus Christ does not imply that you know "the only true God"
* Knowing "the only true God" does not imply that you know Jesus CHrist.

There are MANY MANY MANY verses like this in the Bible.

If you believe the Bible, you cannot be "monotheistic" unless you twist the verses so far out of context that it is no longer readable.
