I always cringe to see liberals and conservatives simp for the American revolutionaries and put words in their mouths.

If the American revolutionaries were alive today, they would be unimaginably violent and angry. I mean, they rebelled over tax increases that were lower than today's taxes.

They rebelled because they were being controlled by a faraway tiny country and its aristocratic council, as opposed to a government of their own. The aristocrats of said tiny country also believed that they were chosen by God to rule, after all, that is what aristocrats are taught to believe at birth.
