In training, we did a winter ex where one of the instructors was teaching us how to wear our whiteout covers. Less 50 feet away during twilight, he had top and bottom covers on while standing with the bush behind him. Guy tossed the top cover off and fucking disappeared.
So just need white pants or covers in the forest and probably urban. Full covers for open fields.

To keep warm, remember COLD
>Keep clothing Clean,
Avoid Overheating,
Wear Loose clothing in Layers,
Keep clothing Dry,

It is better to be naked than wet in the cold and snow can be used to dry yourself.

MRE Heaters

I have not tried all of these and some use caustic chemicals (lye) that can burn you. Test before doing in the field.

Containers must be allowed to vent

Magnesium Iron alloy (95%-5%) turnings or powder and sodium chloride and water. Iron and magnesium powders do not work but may work if milled together.

7grams Magnesium turnings
40g sodium bisulfate(ph down in pool supply) powder in a coffee filter wrap or a solid block with no wrap.
Place in sandwich bag and add 50ml of water to use. Produces Magnesium sulfate (epsom salts), sodium sulfate and Hydrogen gas

10g sodium hydroxide (lye)
5g aluminum foil crumpled to slow reation.
Aluminum cannot be stored with sodium hydroxide.
Add together and 50ml of water to activate.
Will destroy aluminum cookware. Use plastic or iron. Or sandwich bag.

20-30g calcium hydroxide(hydrated lime) wrapped in
5g aluminum foil and cut up in a bag.
Can be stored together in sandwich bag.
Add 75ml of water to activate. Very slow (20 mins)

Sodium bisulfate aluminum foil and salt water apparently will work but salt (sodium chloride) must be involved
