Neolithic Europeans probably had darker skin than modern ones since they worked outside, but they were just tanned white people, not Africans

You know how the English called the Swedish settlers in America "swarthy" because they get 200 hours more sunshine per year than the British isles? Probably just one step more on the scale, that's how brown they were.
