YMMV, but my experience says otherwise.

I found that attempting to use blockers just created a forbidden fruit in my mind. It inflated porn into feeling like it had way more power than it actually does, and tempted the problem solving part of my brain to overcome the obstacle and get the cookie.

Success didn't come until I internalized the mindset of "I don't need to use a blocker, because I don't want to use porn." Paradoxically, not inhibiting your access to it because you treat it as impotent makes it significantly easier to resist. Best to treat it like any other bad habit you're kicking, like goyslop, caffeine, or nicotine.

This is coming from someone who was a hard addict for well over a decade since childhood.
