Having a sign language translator on stage is one of the most retarded things I can imagine. Auto-generated captions are a thing. So literally the only purpose of having that hand waving, weird face making retard is if there happens to be someone deaf in the live audience. And if that's the case, why the fuck is she on stage being a distraction for everyone else? And in the foreground nonetheless.

It's a virtue signal. Don't think about its rationale, it's just the product of "rationalization" by anti-intellectuals.

There are no deaf in the audience. And even if they were, they're at the wrong place to go to places where speeches are held.
