I favor older cars because over the years I've become adept at doing almost all work/routine maintenance/part replacement/modification/etc myself. Pretty much everything that doesn't require an engine hoist; I even have a 5 ton floor jack & a couple of very durable ramps so I can get under the car. Haven't been to a body shop for anything in many many years.
And if you know what to look for, it's fairly easy to discern what used cars have been rode hard & put away wet and which ones were meticulously cared for & garage kept.
Not so with women. I've had relationships with girls where she seemed like a Ferrari right off the showroom floor for the first 7 months or so, then the second I notice & point out some rust the body kit falls off to reveal a high mileage Ford Pinto coming apart at the seams.
How wonderful it would be if fixing a damaged woman was as simple as replacing an air filter or draining & filling transmission fluid.
