But you need to say how good the car looks every day you're with it, despite the burnt out transmission, sputtering engine, having numerous black drivers previously and the fact that sometimes it just wants to stay parked all day while still wanting as much gasoline as when you drive it.

I favor older cars because over the years I've become adept at doing almost all work/routine maintenance/part replacement/modification/etc myself. Pretty much everything that doesn't require an engine hoist; I even have a 5 ton floor jack & a couple of very durable ramps so I can get under the car. Haven't been to a body shop for anything in many many years.

And if you know what to look for, it's fairly easy to discern what used cars have been rode hard & put away wet and which ones were meticulously cared for & garage kept.

Not so with women. I've had relationships with girls where she seemed like a Ferrari right off the showroom floor for the first 7 months or so, then the second I notice & point out some rust the body kit falls off to reveal a high mileage Ford Pinto coming apart at the seams.

How wonderful it would be if fixing a damaged woman was as simple as replacing an air filter or draining & filling transmission fluid.
