If Stephen Austin lived in our time, he would be an H-1B advocate for the economy. He can talk about Texas for the "Anglo-American" race as much as he wants, but it won't change the fact that he insisted on populating the land with black slaves for his wealthy constituents. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
