What's the current thought on the "Scouts"? Are there better organizations for young people to be in?

I am a scout leader, although actually cubs as I joined when my boys were beavers. Parts of it fucking suck, the training has tons of globohomo b.s. with loads of diversity propaganda and of course it is feminised throughout. On the whole though it teaches collective strength and good values so for me it's a net win. I have 2 boys so only became a leader to secure their place as the local wait list is years long.
In reality, it's fairly decentralised so then values of the leaders are naturally allowed to shine through if they wanted. Officially there is a line to tow but so long as I don't get them all doing a Sieg heil or making swastika flags there is plenty of opportunity to pass on good values outside of the school system.
Aside from sportsball there isn't much male-led stewardship of the youth that I can see here in the UK. I love teaching kids and it was the best medium I could find that wouldn't demand every single minute of my free time, it's about 5 hrs a week including the 1 HR weekly session, planning, parent comms, collating etc. I highly encourage you to volunteer in your local community in any way. Chip away at that miserable git you'll become sat online scrolling.
