A friend of mine who is usually pretty smart with health stuff but sometimes gets caught up in the fad thing, started telling me about shilajit. It's basically just some mysterious compound found in Pakistani/India caves (Himalayan mountains if you want to sound fancy) and it looks/tastes like ass.

I decided to try some (been taking it for almost a month now) cause why not and literally the only change I've noticed is my shits stink worse and I shit bigger shits. I've decided this shilajit is actually shit-a-jeet.

I take a fair few different natural supplements. God gave us a bounty of plants to use for their benefits after all. In any case, even if they're good supplements, nothing can outpace a poor lifestyle. The benefits shine when you're active and healthy. How healthy are you in general, and how active? Though, everything effects everyone differently. I've taken shilajit before and got benefits from it

Saying you have to live a healthy lifestyle to get benefits from health supplements means you're more than likely just experiencing the benefits from a healthy lifestyle not the supplements. I've done stuff before too that had noticeable benefits without doing anything healthy on-top of it. Shalijit wasn't it.

It depends on the sup, fish oil sups will be good for you regardless, but l carnitine for instance wont do a damned thing unless you're active. Some are in-between, ashwagandha is better if you are active but works okay if you arent. Just some examples. But it's called a supplement for a reason. It's complementary to a good diet and healthy lifestyle, it's not a replacement for it. I had a good diet and healthy lifestyle for a long time before I took any sups and still felt the advantages of them

But YMMV is the name of the game with supplements. Some shit just does not work for some people. You don't know until you try it. Shilajit works for me, it apparently does not work for you. In my case, Caffeine is a compound that does not work for me. That's fine, there's a million other things that provide similar benefits

Interesting because I'm hyper sensitive to caffeine... Hmmm, could there be a link? Lol.

Have you ever tried TRT? I'm in my 30s and a few guys I know won't shutup about it so I tried one dose that's equivalent to basically maximum natural testosterone. Huge different, without working out or doing anything. Psychological and physiological differences significantly noticeable 2 days later. It's kinda crazy how little guys talk about it. I just thought you got jacked if you worked out but it's way more than that. Makes all other supplements look like water.

There's also a big quality control problem with shilajit because there's a lot of fake bullshit coming out too, just black ash in pill capsules. Tiktok made it popular and shitskins flooded the market with knockoff garbage, as always.

The real benefits of shilajit pack a wallop, almost like a natural multivitamin. However, I do remember some of the benefits of it and can offer alternatives to stack:

Testosterone increase (ashwagandha, maca root)

Blood circulation (beetroot powder, bee pollen)

Increased libido (barrenwort, maca again, panax ginseng, L-arginine)

Brain health and cognitive function (krill oil, fish oil)

Stress relief and cortisol reduction (ashwagandha again)

Bone health (collagen peptides, vitamin d, calcium)

Heart health (krill oil and fish oil again)

These are a few good ones.
