I was thinking about this, I thought the last major technological development before AI was the smartphone

It seems to have had a real chilling effect on people, they're afraid to make mistakes in public or do as much because they're always being watched and possibly recorded

Addictive content is served quickly on the phones and things like social media and dating apps became popularly consumed on phones, which have dramatically affected relationships and how people perceive themselves

So what overall impact do you think smartphones have had on us, how might we mitigate some of the damage done by phones, or what do you think of what will replace smartphone technology and how much worse it could be potentially (AR glasses, brain implants, etc.)?

Not much effect on me personally, I already live on the PC, my phone is just something that I have to keep charged as well as a portable emulation station.

I have to say with posts like this I'm not personally a doomer, I feel too many people only say smartphones / social media / dating apps have been bad for society, and sometimes that may be true in the balance, but there have been obvious benefits to these technologies which is why people have made use of them (a camera in your pocket to document and share useful things / a social network to share useful info / dating apps that might allow for romantic connections that become more difficult in a busy world / etc.)

Was the world, aka society better 50 years ago? Yes. Was it better 20 years ago? Yes.

While technology advanced, it wasn't really good for us. It's simply too much. I wouldn't even say "too fast." It is simply more than is good for us. The "too fast" may only refer to what we should have allowed to seep into society and what not. Smart phones shouldn't exist.

I am working on a space combat/exploration game, which btw provides never-before-seen experiences like traversing through space in free flight, I can't say it's for good purposes. It's ultimately a selfish act, because as everybody else too, I need money, a house and a family. I can make it based, aka all player characters are White, and enemy factions consist of various shades of subhumans, but that's it.

However once I have enough "fuck you" money, and I attained credentials, I can pursue other activities. The biggest question being how I can convey the truth about (pre) WWII to as many people as possible. With the ultimate goal of contributing to TND.

I can create algorithms of high quality, and I have some in mind. For example text interpreting algorithms, that can assess various things from interpreting written text alone. For example as estimation of a person's intelligence, his origin, his age, his ideology and the context itself. Algorithms, if developed, may not fall into enemy hands.

It could identify someone young talking about "Hitler bad", and I could employ AIs to respond to them in an optimized manner. If it's a leftist it would take another approach than if it's a conservative. LLMs could be useful to generate the final text... maybe.

I could summarize all there is to know about the entire topic, along with sources and evidence, just in case. With the goal to actually provide comprehensible summaries. Short, medium, long ones - whatever is wanted.

I am really tired of demon worshipers talking shit about my ancestors. My grandfather has produced weapons for the Germans. My ancestors weren't just on the sidelines. They were on the side of the former Nazis. And so am I.

They've all but killed delayed gratification. There's no more putting work, time and effort into something. It's at your fingertips with a few seconds search. Knowledge almost seems mundane to those who were born into this.

Oh, don't worry about knowledge. People are still retarded and ignorant, even though they *could* access said information within minutes.

yeah, i don't buy the argument that knowledge no longer matters or means anything. all we have proven is that the average person is too stupid to even desire knowledge, not that providing it faster than 3 hours of searching in a library somehow worsens things. the only reason "google-fu" exists as a joke term is because most people do not possess it and can't bring themselves to actually use the internet to learn anything.

I don't think this disagrees with anything I said. People don't appreciate instant access to knowledge AND they are too stupid to use it. Both can be true. In fact the two mindsets seem to go hand in hand.

Well, WorldStar HipHop redpilled a lot of Whites because niggers recorded themselves behaving like niggers instead of the coons the jews show on TV.

It's a double edged sword really.

On one hand, people are much more atomized and disconnected, many are addicted to phones and the internet, they have had a negative effect on society

On the other hand, they have made the flow and access of information significantly easier. Even with jewish big tech companies trying to shut everything down, it's now unstoppable because of how the internet is. We would not be having these conversations that we have here without the internet and smartphones. We would not as a society be questioning israel en masse right now if not for the internet and smartphones. We would not be having conversations about how hitler was right and jews are evil without the internet and smartphones. We criticize boomers for being blissfully unaware, but a big reason why we are not unaware is because of damned phones. If the internet (and the smartphone) never existed, we would be as bluepilled as they are

Consider both sides of this when you have the discussion about whether phones have ruined society or not. On the one hand, they have had a pronounced negative effect. On the other hand, a massive positive. Technology is yin and yang.

Furthermore, I consider that Israel must be destroyed
