I was thinking about this, I thought the last major technological development before AI was the smartphone
It seems to have had a real chilling effect on people, they're afraid to make mistakes in public or do as much because they're always being watched and possibly recorded
Addictive content is served quickly on the phones and things like social media and dating apps became popularly consumed on phones, which have dramatically affected relationships and how people perceive themselves
So what overall impact do you think smartphones have had on us, how might we mitigate some of the damage done by phones, or what do you think of what will replace smartphone technology and how much worse it could be potentially (AR glasses, brain implants, etc.)?
While technology advanced, it wasn't really good for us. It's simply too much. I wouldn't even say "too fast." It is simply more than is good for us. The "too fast" may only refer to what we should have allowed to seep into society and what not. Smart phones shouldn't exist.
I am working on a space combat/exploration game, which btw provides never-before-seen experiences like traversing through space in free flight, I can't say it's for good purposes. It's ultimately a selfish act, because as everybody else too, I need money, a house and a family. I can make it based, aka all player characters are White, and enemy factions consist of various shades of subhumans, but that's it.
However once I have enough "fuck you" money, and I attained credentials, I can pursue other activities. The biggest question being how I can convey the truth about (pre) WWII to as many people as possible. With the ultimate goal of contributing to TND.
I can create algorithms of high quality, and I have some in mind. For example text interpreting algorithms, that can assess various things from interpreting written text alone. For example as estimation of a person's intelligence, his origin, his age, his ideology and the context itself. Algorithms, if developed, may not fall into enemy hands.
It could identify someone young talking about "Hitler bad", and I could employ AIs to respond to them in an optimized manner. If it's a leftist it would take another approach than if it's a conservative. LLMs could be useful to generate the final text... maybe.
I could summarize all there is to know about the entire topic, along with sources and evidence, just in case. With the goal to actually provide comprehensible summaries. Short, medium, long ones - whatever is wanted.
I am really tired of demon worshipers talking shit about my ancestors. My grandfather has produced weapons for the Germans. My ancestors weren't just on the sidelines. They were on the side of the former Nazis. And so am I.
