if i lived in the Spain during the warring years i'd be a devout Christian Crusader, because back then Christianity was unironically racist and genuinely did not view sand niggers as human beings (same to jews)

This is just a misconception that is spread by liberals to make it sound like racism is an ignorant belief of the so called dark ages.
Racism did not exist until the end of the 19th century. It was only with the understanding of evolution (Darwin) and of genetic inheritance (Weismann) that we realized that different races have physiological differences. Before then everyone believed that "*all men are created equal*", it's even in the declaration of independence.
Yes ancient people saw that niggers were savages but they thought it was because they didn't hear about Jesus yet, or that they were backward for some other unknown reason. The Catholic Church took it as its mission to go to Africa and civilize niggers because they were convinced (and still are) that niggers are like us, they just lack education.
