Ethnic slurs have definitely become a kind of secular blasphemy substitute
If you see how some people react to ethnic slurs, I'm pretty sure this is how Christians in prior times might have reacted to blasphemy (not quite in the same way but with the same kind of seriousness)
AI:
> Saint Louis IX of France prescribed the mutilation of the tongue and lips as a punishment for blasphemy.
> Historical accounts indicate that this punishment was applied, with one source noting that a blasphemer was punished with hot iron on his lips, an act that reportedly drew criticism from many people at the time.
> While the king's harsh measures were justified by his belief in the sanctity of the Church and the need to purge heresy, his actions, including the burning of Talmudic texts, were directed against Jews and Muslims as well as Christian opponents. The quote often attributed to him, "A Christian should argue with a blasphemer only by running his sword through his bowels as far as it will go," is widely considered hyperbolic and symbolic of his zealous commitment to defending the faith, rather than a literal instruction.

That's only for White people though: niggers use the word nigger all the time.
It's only White people who can't use it.
A Christian in the middle ages would not demand you to not say something that he himself feels at liberty to say.
This really highlights how much we worship niggers like our gods.
