Correct, and he wouldn't have even been installed in the first place without the support of israel and their subordinates in the U.S. deep state. At this point really the only thing preventing israel from just outright seizing more Syrian territory (including Damascus) is the presence of Turkey. The Turks have long been more concerned with marginalizing the Kurds throughout the region than confronting israel, but that calculation will begin to change as the jews get closer and closer to their southern border.
