You'll have to consider whether or not this is the hill you're willing to die on. You can always play dumb and say you didn't know it was from that book.
Then again, they could make trouble for you. You're paying all this money for college. It might be better to just fly under the radar and get through it. There is security in anonymity. Depending on what your goals are, not everyone is Nick Fuentes.
The professor is threatening you BTW. You are now on his radar. Me personally I would prefer to fly under the radar. You can do more damage to their system when you're undetected.
