Surely they've seen their own reflection in a lake or pond at some point in their lives? The concept of a "reflection" can't be that utterly alien to them.

That's actually a thing. Niggers drown all the time. They are probably instinctively afraid of water so they wont see their own reflection in a calm lake. Their water holes are either dirty or full of vegetation. They probably never have seen their reflection.
