No, it would be comically absurd.
You round them up, put them into small internment camps for mere hours. Once you got enough together, you move them to a remote area.
Then you let them dig mass graves. When done, you kill and shoot 90% of them, let the remaining ones close it, and then you do the same with the remaining 10%, and manually close it. If some jew resists doing work, you just instantly kill them.
And the point is that 0% survive, and that the process is kept secret. Otherwise the same outcome will happen, but they will refuse the work. Which means the soldiers will have to do it themselves - using heavy machinery to move the corpses underground.
It would be utterly unhygienic and non-feasible to build extermination camps.
