John 17 explains what "one" means. A better word nowadays would be "united". Either that or we have to consider Jesus' disciples as part of the Trinity.

Again, the Bible clearly teaches that there are many, many gods. Do you want me to point to where the old and new testament say this sort of thing? It's blatantly obvious.
Let me give one example to show you how obvious it is: Remember when Jesus went into the wilderness to fast and pray, and then someone / something came to tempt him? Who was that? Was he a god or an angel or something else?
Another example: Why does Paul name someone other than Jesus / God as the god of this world?

So, what you are saying is you have no reason to reject mormonism because you don't even understand anything about the claims mormonism is making. It's fine to be ignorant, but it's not fine to be so full of pride and self-conceit to remain ignorant when confronted with plain facts that contradict what your pastor told you.

I agree. That is peak cultist behavior. And let me be clear -- we have NEVER taught such a doctrine in any form anywhere in our history. It is a fabrication, an insulting one at that, taught as truth by our enemies. Why would they spread lies? I have some ideas on who their "father" is but I won't be so explicit.
Instead, we have taught what the Bible teaches, which is that we can be partakers in the Divine (God) nature, that we can become one with Jesus the same way Jesus is one with God, and we will sit on the throne of God the same way Jesus sits on the throne of God.
In fact, you'll be hard-pressed to find any scripture in LDS theology that even approaches the level of what the Bible teaches on this subject.
Go back to the Church Fathers and you'll find people who were in good standing as a "Christian" teaching almost exactly what we teach today. Lorenzo Snow's famous couplet is repeated by Church Fathers, the Bible, and is still an important aspect of the Orthodox Church. It's called "theosis".

Be very careful who you accept as a leader and a shepherd. If your shepherd is teaching you lies as truth, he is not playing on the right side. He should be teaching you what Jesus taught, all but straight from the Bible, not as interpreted by man's interpretation, but solely by the Spirit of God.

The highest level of the afterlife in Mormon theology is the Celestial Kingdom, which is considered the true "Heaven" and is where individuals can become exalted beings, akin to God, and potentially govern their own planets.
This concept of exaltation is distinct from the Islamic understanding of Jannah, which does not include the idea of humans becoming gods. - fact.

Adam–God doctrine
According to the doctrine, Adam was once a mortal man who became resurrected and exalted. From another planet, he then came as Michael to form Earth. Adam then was given a physical body and a spouse, Eve, where they became mortal by eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. After bearing mortal children and establishing the human race, Adam and Eve returned to their heavenly thrones, where Adam serves as God and is the Heavenly Father of humankind. Later, Adam returned to the Earth to the ancient prophets and to become the literal biological father of Jesus.
These teachings are perilously close to the concept of jannah in islam and have no biblical basis at all. Its reinterpretation and has nothing at all in line with christs messages. They are tag ons that your heresy adds and changes at a whim. You dont have to be subverted because you are part of the subversion.
In short you either ignorant or worse directly lying to me.
