Counterpoint, they were raised in mostly Christian countries, which they're reacting against. Other religions don't phase them because they don't hit as close to home in the psyche of the American/European liberal.

Even lefties in countries that were never historically Christian like China and the middle east seem to have a visceral reaction to Christianity and if anything are even more violent against Christians.

China's got very little freedom of religion to begin with + Christianity is a western religion, so it's even less likely to be accepted by the current ruling powers in China, who are wary of western influence.

The Middle East is comprised of mostly Saracens, so you can see why *they* would be hostile towards Christianity.
