> The Shameless Wheelchair Scam Exposing a Cultural Problem, Up to 40% of passengers on US-India flights are requesting wheelchairs despite having zero medical need. They board first, breeze through security, and miraculously walk off the plane perfectly fine once they've gamed the system. This isn't about occasional abuse - it's become standard operating procedure on these routes.
> Airlines report seeing passengers sprint to baggage claim after demanding wheelchair assistance during boarding. Gate agents watch the same people who "needed" help getting on the plane suddenly develop working legs upon arrival. The scam clogs up services meant for genuinely disabled travelers, creates massive delays, and forces airlines to hire additional staff just to accommodate the fraud.
> It's entitled, selfish behavior that shows complete disregard for people with actual disabilities. When confronted, these passengers show no shame - just annoyance at being called out. The audacity is staggering, and it's making air travel worse for everyone.
Air travel is a luxury. Camping is cheap if you do it right, plus you likely won't encounter minorities unless your camping somewhere with easy vehicle access.
People aren't made to be atomized and separated from family. Destroys your soul and leaves you wandering. Unless the pay is good enough to afford occasional airfare youre better off being with those you share close connection.
