This is not my problem. My problem is figuring out what to do. How long do you persist at something that yields zero results? When do you ask yourself "what can I even accomplish here?"
Persistence is fine for frontline fighters, but the battle is won by the general who is able to bring the combined power of his forces to bear on the place where the enemy is weakest. Dashing your men against the enemy's strongest point, again and again, is just foolish.
