Just off the phone with my Dad, explaining some health issues that could see me dead inside six months.

After a couple grunts and 1 “not sure what to tell you about that”, he spent the next fifteen minutes on sports, then 20 minutes on Trump and ICE Raids being immoral and unconstitutional.

He’s glad to see foreigners replace Whites but then spends thirty minutes blaming
“the American People” for letting bad things happen.

Love him but more out of a sadness of what he has become.

Honestly, fuck honoring your father and your mother. For a great many out there (myself included,) they'll be the most evil two people you'll ever meet. Any parents who treat their kids like this can get the rope.

Sorry dude. I know it might not mean much from a rando over the internet, but I sincerely hope you continue to live and prosper.

I look at that commandment a bit differently.

It doesn't say to *respect* your parents, it says to *honour* them. To me this means acting in a way that doesn't bring them shame. Their personal opinions don't really come into it.

You have a duty to serve the lineage and prestige of your family. Which means passing the torch to your children. If you consider your parents as evil, then they completely failed in this respect, hence your resentment. You are duty bound to your bloodline despite pieces of shit in your immediate family. If you do not know your bloodline, I suggest you start investigating. A good portion of all of us come from a greater house at a certain point.
