I read church history.
I know what the earliest heresies were.
"Jesus is a divine messenger but not God" was one of them.
It was a popular heresy in the region around where Islam started around the time it started. And it's exactly what Islam teaches about Jesus.
It doesn't take a genius to put 1 and 1 together.
If you "Christians" were smart you'd remember how your ancestors convinced millions of heretics to come to believe that Jesus is God, and take that to your muslim brethren. If you seriously study the Koran there is some wonderful ammunition there to persuade the muslim to accept the doctrine of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. It has already converted thousands and thousands in the modern age.
Of course jews don't want us talking to muslims. They'd rather have us fighting each other.
You protestants never once considered the bigger picture. You want to be right so badly about something that you're willing to give up everything, when the truth is staring at you in the face.
First of all I'm atheist, or a pantheist at most, and I'm certainly not a Christian.
But Islam is much more than not recognizing Jesus as god. In fact that is not its defining feature.
The whole mindset of Muslims is completely different from the one of Christians, they are two different worlds.
My point was not to justify Islam, but to point out, that despite how evil it is, it is not as evil as judaism, which says that the God-man born on earth to give his life up to save it is boiling in excrement in hell.
At least muslims worship Jesus as a prophet, and if you read their Koran carefully, more than a man.
I do think muslims are salvageable at least. You look back in history and they weren't too bad when they weren't slavishly following their dogma.
