That's a shame.

The Sermon on the Mount is ridiculous deep and incredibly meta. Even idiots can get a huge amount of good information from it.

I've recently discovered it is related to the coronation ceremonies for Israelite kings, like for David. Jesus may have been coronating his people as kings and inducting them into the council of heaven. It's probably part of an ascension ceremony complete with liturgy.

Of note, the apostles were conducting esoteric rituals with new Christians throughout the world. Remember the Mount of Transfiguration? They were conveying information from there that wasn't allowed to be recorded in texts. There is historical references to these teachings from a recently discovered treasure trove of documents, i believe from Nag Hamadi. The Orthodox have preserved elements of this ascension ritual and there are symbols of it in their churches and liturgy even today.

The Sermon on the Mount is thus likely a compilation of reminders that were common in the ancient world. Namely, people would be inducted into an esoteric cult and then they were given texts to help them remember the esoteric stuff. The texts themselves were innocuous or full of parables and stories that sometimes seem nonsensical, so they are harmless.

If that is the case, then the gospels are much more than just old stories about Jesus. They are reminders of an esoteric induction ceremony teaching ascension that Jesus himself created.

From the Nag Hamadi texts we learn that the Gnostics ran afoul of Christianity not just because they were corrupting the teachings but also because they were sharing things that weren't supposed to be shared with the world and claiming secret knowledge that they didn't have.
