RIP Katie Fox ❤️

This is Katie; she was waiting for a bus in Birmingham doing no harm to anyone, simply going about her daily life. A man walked up behind her and took her life for no reason. No reason whatsoever. He just felt the need to inflict pain and destroy a family.

He slashed her throat with a Stanley knife. There has been no media outrage, or even much reports. It didn't make headlines, or worldwide news. It didn't make people really bat an eye.

I could write pages about how we got here and what needs to change, but there’s nothing left to say that hasn’t already been said. We all know why we’re in this situation. We know who is responsible. And, sadly perhaps most importantly we all know this won’t be the last time we write about a tragedy like this.

There’s a reality we all need to face, and face together: Britain is not the country we grew up in. It’s becoming painfully clear that we can no longer call it a safe place particularly for certain demographics.
