Here's a tip for gardening,don't over fertilise with nitrogen it's a huge reason why budding gardeners stop because their crop is small (unless growing kale or salad). Bone meal and ash is the goat duo for huge harvests, but yet again moderation is needed.
Don't fall into the trap of pruning annuals, it makes almost no difference especially for tomatoes.
Pruning fruit trees is necessary since most of them only fruit on new growth.
Pruning tomatoes is about having a healthy structure on which to grow tomatoes, not about more tomatoes. Unpruned tomatoes lead to broken and diseased plants.
