Where the fuck are people going that subway puts that much filling on a footlong? Whenever I've gotten one it has always had almost nothing in between the bread, even back when they were 5 dollars (Granted, back then, it didn't cost 20 fucking dollars to put enough inside of it to have a sandwich for 2). I kind of sympathize with the people eating a whole sub to be honest, it's not enough damned food without adding onto it. But, back when the $5 ft long was a thing, toppings and extra meat killed the deal (and they still make it ridiculously more expensive). I've never known anyone that was satiated by a 6" base model subway sandwich, I ate them completely when I was like 8 years old and 50 pounds.

My father had a boss who had a missing leg and was extremely persnickety and weird about everything he ate (he also ate tubs of butter with a spoon, he had spring rolls for breakfast every single morning, and refused to cook with any oven except an AGA oven because he thought it would kill him. Odd man). Every weekday he would buy his boss a completely plain tuna foot long. When I came along, he also bought me a sub. I ate one half when I got it and the next half for dinner. If I was satiated by an entire 6" sandwich as a rail thin prepubescent child, I will not by satiated by it as an adult.
